About Me & Resume
Hi, I'm Mark Auman
I am a game developer based in Brisbane and have been developing games since 2013. While I have learnt to use a variety of different game engines and programming languages over the years, I am primarily experienced with working in Unity with C#.
I am currently studying Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments at the Queensland University of Technology (Major: Game Design, Minors: Software Technologies and CGI) where I have worked on the design and programming of various projects, along with being closely involved in the management. Thus, I specialise and want to work within roles related to design, programming and production.
Throughout my course, I have been able to work on a variety of projects, as well as a few personal and industry projects that include games, 3D environments, 3D characters, and software tools.
I am also working for the QUT Faculty Of Science as a Research Assistant & VR Developer on QUT's Mars ARC Project and as Project Manager on QUT's Eco-Explorations Project.

BMW Group + QUT Design Academy
About
For my 2024 Games Design Capstone unit, I have been working in collaboration with BMW Group and the QUT Design Academy to develop a MINI-themed project along with the rest of the members of Team Acuity: Jake Harkins, Bec Jeffries & Nathan Prestidge. The development of this capstone project will take place over the course of semesters 1 and 2 of 2024 within the IGB300 and IGB301 units at QUT.
At this current stage, we are bound by a confidentiality agreement and can’t disclose any further details about the project.
Awesome Women In Construction
About
In 2022, I did the IGB200: Game Studio 2 Unit, which revolved around the design and development of a game project for an industry partner. My team named Team A1, was partnered with Awesome Women In Construction, who wanted us to develop a game that would encourage young women to pursue a career in construction. We developed a game called AWIC: Breaking Ground, where players assume the role of a construction manager and must strategically manage a team of workers in order to complete home construction projects within budget and on time.
Due to the success of the original PC version of the game, we were asked to develop a mobile version of the game that could be played on IOS and Android devices. While the version of the mobile port we worked on did not end up getting released, the experience we gained from working on it was nonetheless valuable.
Game Jams
About
Since 2019 I have participated in game jams when possible as a way of further developing my game development skills. Generally I participate in 48 hour game jams, but have participated in week-long game jams as well.
Through these game jams, I have been able to further learn how to rapidly design and develop game experiences outside of university in both an individual and group setting.
